Future Mind Map

The Short Term Plan

-     Take a well deserved break after graduation, travel for a bit

-    Follow up on whatever comes out of the graduation show

-    Find a part time job, preferably art related, so either be a supervisor at Bijzonder Amsterdam (ceramics atelier) again, be a host at No Limits! Art Gallery (old internship place), or look for a job as a studio assistant. Otherwise a side job that’s chill, like making coffee or something.

-    Foam 3H exhibition (confirmed)

-    Start developing my next project (or continue with an ongoing one) so I can apply for funding

-    Look for (international) open calls and residencies - I’m planning on staying in the Netherlands, but it would be fun to work interationally now and again too.

-    Continuing developing a game plan for my collective Verbloemd and apply for funding, do the second edition of Verbloemd Festival

-    Keep in touch with nice classmates by starting monthly (online) feedback sessions

-    Look for housing in Utrecht

The Long Term Plan /
One Day

-   Have beautiful adventures, saying yes to stuff that seems fun and work with people I like. I do not need to be the most successful or richest artist in the world, I just want to be able to enjoy what I’m doing and not have a burnout again :)

-    see my work featured in publications, collective exhibitions and photo festivals. Hopefully do solo exhibitions as well.

-    Have a bigger studio space so I can start making bigger artworks and experiment with installations.

-     Do residencies once in a while to unwind and get inspired

-    Be a fully independent artist, without having to do commercial crap (unless it’s non-profits working with disability)

-    Collectief Verbloemd becomes a non-profit with staff and structural funding, that organizes exhibitions/ art festivals and works on artistic projects related to unseen disability. And gives other disabled artists that don’t practice disability art the opportunity to come work under Verbloemd for a bit.  In a way that I don’t have to do any administrative crap and can just be involved in the creative side of things
